Seventies Style High Surf Sculpture by Dave C Reynolds
Seventies Style High Surf Sculpture by Dave C Reynolds
This piece I call "Seventies Soul". This high relief sculpture depicts the incredible surf style of the 1970's. This piece is inspired by 1976 World Surfing Champion Peter "PT" Townend and his classic "soul arch". This sculpture was used to create several world class trophies and has been presented to PT himself as a gift from the International Surfing Museum. Sculpture is 5" x 8", total height 12". Has an actual bronze metal coating on the front. Looks exactly like a solid bronze casting at a fraction of the price. Mounted above a custom wood block with Shou Sugi Ban wood treatment done to it. A wood burning technique that leaves the raised and unique wood grains you see. Satin finish on base. As you can see I have utilized my world class surf trophy designs and skills to produce these. Limited to 100 castings. Each piece is signed and numbered on the back. You also get a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
